APX (Association of Past Xavierites), alumni/ae association of St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall Ahmedabad ) AGM was held on Saturday 29 June 2024.

The members were welcomed, the accounts for the past year passed, activities discussed and deliberated, formalities taken care of and the committee for the year 2024-25 elected following due procedure as per the norms.

It was a date to remember as after a scorching summer the rains finally arrived besides being the big date for the India - South Africa clash, eventually our #teamindia won the T-20 WC after 17 years and 13 since the 2011 ODI victory.

Present were the students, staff, management, alumni/ae ( APX ), parents and benefactors as also the Standing Committee Chairman Shri Devang Dani and his colleagues.

DOX Flagship Program – The Annual Prize Distribution was held on 22nd June at SXD auditorium. This day is to celebrate the success of the students who have achieved the Top 3 Rank in their Class and also of those who were subject-wise toppers.

DOX-sponsored the 575 awards given to children from Std 6 – Std 11. Four of our students who qualified for the National Sports Under–17 brackets were also felicitated.

Mr. Akhilesh Jha, IPS, Zonal IG was the Chief Guest and Father Ajit Xess SJ, chairman of SXD and Provincial head of Ranchi was the Guest of Honour. Ruhaan Srivastava DOX 2022 recently competed at IIT Kharagpur was felicitated by our Executive Chairman, Mr. Ashish Buddhia. Mr. Ashish Buddhia, Executive Chairman of DOX addressed the august gathering and congratulated the winners.

We are grateful to our Principal, Father Fuldeo Soreng SJ, the Vice Principals, and SXD management for being hand-in-hand with DOX and making this event a grand success.

Yoga is an ancient practice that originated in India around 3000BC. In its entirety, yoga is a discipline that incorporates three elements: -philosophical, -mental, -spiritual. It was developed as a means to gain balance between the heart and the soul with the aim of divine enlightenment as well as attain physical fitness.

Celebrating World Yoga Day on June 21 2024 at St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall campus. The students, staff, management, parents, benefactors & alumni/ae support these activities and partake in the same as well.

It was indeed a fit and fine morning.

Dutch field hockey legend Floris Jan Bovelander visited Loyola High School, Pune on 20th June 2024 and interacted with the students, signed autographs and gave them some insights on what it is to be a top international athlete.

Floris Jan Bovelander represented the Netherlands at the

  1. 1988 Seoul Olympics Bronze medal
  2. 1990 FIH World Cup Winner
  3. 1994 FIH World Cup Runners Up
  4. 1996 Gold medal at Atlanta Olympics

Glad to share that St.Xavier’s College Calcutta Alumni Association organised its 30th edition of Fr.Joris Memorial Nihil Ultra Debate in Dubai on 25th May 2024.

The motion of the debate was In the opinion of the House, World increases affluence at the cost of inequality.

History was created by SXCCAA by holding this as the first International episode of this annual event, was organised on sea-in the banquet Hall of magnificent ship Queen Elizabeth 2, International speakers from various countries.

Indian diaspora attended the event in Big nos.

An orientation/awareness session was organized for office bearers of alumni associations of Patna Jesuit Province on Sunday, 19 May 2024 at St. Xavier's High School, Patna as per the JAAI calendar of activities.

The Province Coordinator for Alumni/ae Reverend Fr. Peter B. Arockiasamy SJ in his opening remarks highlighted the importance of alumni association and the role of office bearers in its success. He asked the members of JAAP (Jesuit Alumni Association of Patna Province) to meet frequently so that collaborative activities are implemented on a regular basis.

Later, a powerpoint and a video was presented by the President, JAAI Shri Neel Mani Rangesh and informed about the vision, objectives, structure, current and future activities of JAAI in detail. He also emphasized the role of office bearers in spreading awareness about JAAI and its activities among Jesuit Alumni.
