In recent days team APX has come out with some initiatives, like readying mementos be it customised mugs, badges and polos ( new design to be released soon ) or reinforcing the school gym with two treadmills and two gym cycles, facilitating these free of cost which otherwise would have cost some few lacs.
Incidentally back in 1997 the Gym was sponsored by committee alumnus.
Also we redid some parts of internal roads using the alumni/ae’s good offices and saving the institute some lacs again.
For team APX, important is to give and not count the cost and to be a person for others. Be it time, energy and in some instances financial assistance, also professional guidance and assistance in legal and audit scopes and in whatever way possible the team is always on the button and needless to say partaking in all school activites and programs, on and off the campus.

A Heartfelt Initiative by a Group of Xavierites from the Batch of 1977
True gratitude often finds expression through meaningful action-and a remarkable group of Xavierites from the Batch of 1977 of St. Xavier's High School, Surat has done just that. Inspired by the values instilled in them during their formative years, they have embraced a noble mission: to give back to the very institution and individuals who helped shape their lives.
In recognition of the lifelong dedication of their former teachers, this group has, over the years, extended unwavering support to retired staff members. With quiet consistency, they have provided monthly financial assistance and stepped in during medical emergencies, offering help with compassion and dignity. Their care has brought not only material support but also a deep sense of respect and gratitude to those who once shaped so many young minds.
The inaugural season of the Loyola Alumni Premier League (LAPL) - Season 1 concluded on a high note, marking a memorable chapter in the history of Loyola Alumni engagement and sportsmanship. The tournament, which brought together enthusiastic alumni cricketers from various graduating batches, witnessed thrilling matches, spirited camaraderie, and a celebration of enduring Loyola bonds.
Held over 3 days at Loyola School grounds, the LAPL featured 4 Teams namely Jaguars United, Cheetah Crusaders, Leopard Dynamos and Panther Warriors battling it out in a friendly yet fiercely competitive league format. The event drew an overwhelming response, with alumni players, families, and supporters turning up in large numbers to cheer their teams.
Whilst celebrating the festivals of India, Eid-ul-Fitr, Narveh, Cheti Chand, Chaitra Navratri, Gudi Padwa, Saijbunongmapanba & Ugadi which fall on 30th March this year, one more celebration was organised on the St. Xavier’s High School Loyola Hall campus.
The annual table tennis carnival it was, from 8.30 am onwards and APX ( Association of Past Xavierites) as well as HLCAA ( HL college alumni/ae Association) members partook in this making this a fulfilling Sunday.
Reliving those past yesteryears, recollecting old memories whilst making new ones, networking & bonding were evident which is the main purpose and motive of any alumni/ae association.
We had winners who were given medals and all participants received participation certificates. There were no losers and all participants soaked in the revelry and pledged to do this more often.
