It is very happy and proud moment; our illustrious Jesuit alumnus Prof.R.Narayanaswamy former Professor of Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) who is my class-mate from Pre-university to B.Com from St.Joseph’s College (1976 Batch) has been appointed as the chairman of the high powered Committee constituted by Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to study about – Expected Credit Loss (ECL) frame working for banks. Prof.Dr.G.Kannabiran alumnus of St.Joseph’sCollege, Trichy has been appointed as the Director of NAAC . Our hearty congratulations to him.

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) was established by the UGC in September 1994 at Bangalore for evaluating the performance of the Universities and Colleges in the Country.

We congratulate Vr. P.K.Thiyagarajan for taking over as the president of the 179 year old St.Joseph’s College Hr. Sec. School’s alumni association. Vr.P.K.Thiagarajan is the all India president of the Institution of Valuers (IOV) which has more than 30,000 professionals specializing in the domain of valuation. Vr.P.K.Thiagarajan is an illustrious Jesuit alumnus from St.Joseph’s College Hr. Sec. School and St.Joseph’s College, Tiruchirapalli. The Government of India is also initiating steps for Institute of Valuers to become a statutory professional body under act of parliament. After the introduction the Insolvency Bankruptcy Code 2016 valuation has become a bed rock of any corporate insolvency resolution to unlock the stressed-assets enabling India to climb-up in the world index of ease of doing business.
