DOX Flagship Program – The Annual Prize Distribution was held on 22nd June at SXD auditorium. This day is to celebrate the success of the students who have achieved the Top 3 Rank in their Class and also of those who were subject-wise toppers.

DOX-sponsored the 575 awards given to children from Std 6 – Std 11. Four of our students who qualified for the National Sports Under–17 brackets were also felicitated.

Mr. Akhilesh Jha, IPS, Zonal IG was the Chief Guest and Father Ajit Xess SJ, chairman of SXD and Provincial head of Ranchi was the Guest of Honour. Ruhaan Srivastava DOX 2022 recently competed at IIT Kharagpur was felicitated by our Executive Chairman, Mr. Ashish Buddhia. Mr. Ashish Buddhia, Executive Chairman of DOX addressed the august gathering and congratulated the winners.

We are grateful to our Principal, Father Fuldeo Soreng SJ, the Vice Principals, and SXD management for being hand-in-hand with DOX and making this event a grand success.

Reverend Fathers , Respected WUJA and JAAI Office Bearers , Dear Friends

Bokaro Old Xavarian's Association Committee under President Madhulika Kovale collected funds Under BOXA SIKSHA AID SCHEME to Financially support the Economically Weak Students of St Xavier's School through HAZARIBAGH JESUITS EDUCATION SOCIETY .

Many Boxans from around the world sent their Voluntary Donations for the BOXA SIKSHA AID SCHEME. Total Collection was ₹ 5,63,280/-

A Cheque of ₹ 5,63,280/- was handed over to Father Arun Minj SJ , Principal, St Xavier's School by BOXA President Madhulika Kovale Di and BOXA Committee Members favouring HAZARIBAGH JESUITS EDUCATION SOCIETY.

Dumka Raiganj Province, under the auspices of JAAI (Jesuit Alumni Associations of India), is pleased to announce the successful completion of orientation sessions at St. Xavier's School Purnia and St. Xavier's School, Raiganj.

Following JAAI's directives, the orientation session took place today, led by PCA Rev. Fr. Alban Minj SJ and Governing Council member Mr. Amit Mishra. They were joined by Financial Advisor CA Manish Poddar and Zonal Council Member of Province Mr. Rohit Karna. The session was tailored for the office-bearers of each member alumni associations within the province.

The orientation aimed to acquaint alumni associations with the structure, objectives, and activities of JAAI, emphasizing the pivotal role of member associations and the advantages of affiliation with JAAI.

Attendees were also briefed on the upcoming nationwide blood donation camp scheduled for 30th July, encouraging active participation from all member associations.

The LAA Mentor program concluded last week with 10 Loyoleans conducting over 100 sessions from Classes 7 to 12 in a span of 4 weeks.

Fr. Vinod felicitated all 10 Volunteers today at the special assembly.

The early morning mist cleared to reveal an exciting showdown at the XLRI ground in Jamshedpur on April 14th. The stage was set for a gripping 15-over cricket match between the spirited staff of XLRI and the seasoned alumni of Loyola School, Jamshedpur. As the sun began to rise, the players from both teams eagerly took their positions, ready to exhibit their skills and passion for the game.

The XLRI team, set out to make an impact with the bat. Rajan's resilient knock of 20 runs provided a solid foundation for the team, supported admirably by Prof. Param, who contributed a valuable 19 runs. Meanwhile, Mr. Shakti showcased his bowling prowess, claiming 2 crucial wickets and keeping the Loyola Alumni team on their toes.

Dr. Venugopal Govindaraju is an alumnus of my alma St. Xavier's School, Doranda, Ranchi, India, and my batchmate from the Class of 1980.

Dr. Venu Govindaraju, Vice president for research and economic development, is the principal investigator of the National AI Institute for Exceptional Education that is creating AI systems to assist children with speech and language disorders at the University of Buffalo, USA.

Dr. Venugopal Govindaraju, a distinguished researcher, has made significant contributions to the field of Pattern Recognition. Here are some key highlights from his impressive career:

  • Education: Dr. Govindaraju earned his Bachelor’s degree with honors from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1986. He later completed his Ph.D. at SUNY Buffalo in 1992.

Today marks the successful conclusion of the second Fr. Anthony Gatt Memorial Annual Wellness Camp, a week-long initiative.

This achievement underscores the dedication of our medical team, including Dr. Devesh Kumar (ICSE 1992), Dr. Mukesh Kumar (ICSE 1994), Dr. Sulabh Suman (ICSE 1999), Dr. Srija Krishna (ICSE 2002), Dr. Kumari Snehlata (ICSE 2005), Dr. Manikanat Mani (ICSE 2005), Dr. Rahul Verma (ICSE 2005), Dr. Aman Kumar (ICSE 2008), and Dr. Raman Kumar Choudhary (ICSE 2014). We express sincere gratitude for their commitment, time, and the thorough tests and consultations they conducted.

Special thanks are extended to Sr. Pushpa DSH for her generosity in providing access to the school dispensary, equipments, and medical supplies as needed.
