Honoured to be invited as Chief Guest for the Province-Level Meet of Jesuit Alumni Associations of Kerala Province and also for the Jesuit Alumni Associations of India - South Zone Council Meet held at St. Joseph's Junior ICSE School at Calicut, the beautiful shore city of God's Own Country !

Happy to put on record that Kerala Jesuit Province now has a 100% (one hundred per cent) alumni coverage and a 100% affiliation of all its Jesuit Alumni Association bodies with JAAI.

Today being the Friendship Day, 1969 batch of BA & BSc of St.Joseph's College, Bangalore celebrated the Golden Jubilee of our 50th Anniversary with around 75 batchmates along with some 10 faculty of the Sixties.

Students from abroad and within India consisting of retired judges, CAs, doctors, an ex-MP, senior bankers, Lt.Major Gen. etc mingled and many had interacted for the first time after five decades this morning till noon.

I'm very happy in sharing my moments of joy by forwarding some photos. Wishing all Happy Friendship Day

There will be a meeting of all the Office bearers of each Alumni Association along with their Jesuit Director on Sunday 11 August 2019 at St Joseph’s Boys’ School Auditorium from 9.00 am till 1.00 pm.

All the Jesuit Directors kindly persuade the Office Bearers of your Associations to attend this meeting without fail. If you do not have an active association, identify a few alumni who can be the fire that ignites other fires and bring them to this gathering.

This gathering is known as JAAIKAR (Jesuit Alumni Associations In Karnataka). If the Directors are able to accompany the office bearers to this meeting, it will be a great encouragement to the Alumni Associations.

Kindly let us know the persons who will be attending this meeting along with the contact details by Monday 5 August 2019.

#SwapTheStraw - a campaign by a student volunteer of Helping Hands Organisation (H2O), under the organisation's campaign #MeTheChange. #SwappingtheStraw for Bamboo or steel straws, was inaugurated by Adv.V. K. Prashanth, Worshipful Mayor and TN Seema, VC of Haritha Keralam Mission on 31st December 2018. This was supported by the Rotary Club of Kazhakuttam, Vyapari Associations and Thumba St. Xavier's College Alumni / ae Assiciation (Jesuit Alumni body).

On 23rd October 2018, Old Boys' Association, Loyola School, Trivandrum (LOBA) handed over uniform materials worth Rs. 1.3 Lakhs to Mr. V.D. Satheesan, MLA of North Paravoor Constituency, who collected it on behalf of St. Sebastian's HSS, Gothuruth, one of the Schools which was badly affected by the recent floods. This is part of a joint ongoing initiative by LOBA and NGO, 360 Degree, of Gautam, (also a Member of LOBA).

Thanks to LOBA President Ram Mohan, who released the necesssary funds. Tomson, EC Member, LOBA, helped arrange the materials and also provided the car and driver. LOBA Past President and JAAI GC Member - Kerala Province Pradeep Kumar and Gautam spoke about LOBA and our efforts during the occasion.

26th May 2018 witnessed a joint activity of Jesuit Alumni /ae of Kerala (JAAK) with other voluntary Organizations.  Every year, every single one in Helping Hands Organization (H2O) come together to begin the new academic year, with a little bit of hope to bring in to hundreds of underprivileged children, by providing them with basic school needs and clothing. Additionally, this year H2O also introduced the Me, The Change Notebooks – an initiative to create and inculcate a culture of doing good deeds, however small, every day and documenting the same. The distribution of these notebooks during the event, encourage the children to document their good act, or acts of being an active citizen, from day 1.

This year, H20 distributed study materials to 270 children, from backgrounds of little privilege from the wards of Kadinamkulam Panchayat. H2O is looking at providing school kits to 135 beneficiaries, soon.
